Practice Administrator / Eyewear Optical Manager
Helen is originally from Ohio. In her teens, her family moved to Pennsylvania. Shortly afterwards, she met her soul mate and got married. She is blessed with 2 beautiful daughters and 3 wonderful grandchildren.
Helen has been part of the optical field for about 28 years. She has been part of the Gettysburg Ophthalmology/Eyewear Shop family for almost 17 years. She joined our practice as an Optician and was promoted to the Optical Manager due to her hard work and years of dedication.
Helen prides herself in customer service and has been honored to work with great patients at Gettysburg Ophthalmology. She has been part of this office for so long that it has allowed her to meet several generations. Patients jokingly say Helen is part of the “woodwork” at Gettysburg Ophthalmology.
She enjoys assisting patients pick out the perfect frame style and adjusts them for a comfortable and stylish fit. When needed, Helen feels she has excellent optical trouble shooting skills. She continues her training with Essilor to ensure patients are delivered the most up-to-date technology/glasses that best meet their needs.
She has years of experience and knowledge with different insurance companies. Even if the Eyewear Shop does not participate in your insurance plan, she can assist you in submitting your claim. Likewise, Helen believes in always exceeding the patient’s expectations.
Stacy Boyer has been with Gettysburg Ophthalmology Associates since April 2013. Initially, she started with GOA as an experienced ophthalmic assistant/scribe. She began working in the Ophthalmology field in 2007.
She is a 2002 graduate of York Technical Institute earning an Associate degree in Business Administration specializing in Management. She is a member of the Association of Technical Personnel in Ophthalmology and the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators. Stacy holds certifications as an ophthalmic assistant and scribe.
In June 2017, she was promoted to Clinical Manager. As a Clinical Manager, she tries to grow daily in her career as well as inspire her technicians to do the same. She values all of her teammates and is thankful she works with such a great team. Stacy focuses on how to improve patient services, efficiency, and the overall experience for her patients. She plans to obtain a COE certification in the future.
She is from Ellicott City, Maryland and currently resides in East Berlin, Pennsylvania.
